Weekly Photo Challenge: Hope

While there is life, there is hope

All the photographs below for the “Weekly Photo Challenge : Hope” were taken on Sunday 29 January 2012, in my garden in Sussex, England.

“The shortest day has passed, and whatever nastiness of weather we may look forward to in January and February, at least we notice that the days are getting longer.  Minute by minute they lengthen out.  It takes some weeks before we become aware of the change.  It is imperceptible even as the growth of a child, as you watch it day by day, until the moment comes when with a start of delighted surprise we realize that we can stay out of doors in a twilight lasting for another quarter of a precious hour.”     –  Vita Sackville-West

  1. Absolutely stunning photos and I love the Vita Sackville West quote too. Having chickens has made the most difference to my perception of the length of the day as they go to bed with the dusk and I notice that what was a perfectly sensible time for shutting them in has become a little too early and they are still scratching!

  2. Where there is life, there is hope….beautifully said. Yes, for as long as there is breath in us, there is every reason to believe that all things are possible, that peace, love , happiness, and good health can happen…even miracles can happen when things gets from bad to worse. Hope gives us a reason to wake up and face another day. Thank you for the words of inspiration….Hope its not to late to share with you the “HUG” award. You are a blessing to others…
