Weekly Photo Challenge: Breakfast

I was late with my contribution to last week’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Wonder but squeezed it in, just as the new challenge was announced…. Breakfast.

There are a lot of bloggers who are exceptionally fast in posting their Weekly Challenge and, as I guessed, a lot of hearty breakfasts are being put before us.

I have to eat breakfast otherwise I will be in a heap by mid-morning, but I cannot eat a big breakfast.   In the UK a plate of bacon, eggs, tomatoes, beans, hash browns and sometimes black pudding is called a “Full House”.    Even looking at some of the photographs, although they are great,  makes me feel uncomfortable, to say the least.  Equally, there are some very poignant photographs, depicting those that don’t know what it is to have a good breakfast.

This is my usual breakfast.

Take one bowl of fruit and nut muesli

+

A large tablespoon of Greek yogurt

+

Drizzle honey over the yogurt

Hey Presto!

Breakfast

  4. A big thank you for all your lovely comments about my Breakfast! From what I thought was going to be a prompt this week I would give a miss and then decided to try and make breakfast look interesting, it has turned out to be very popular and has made all that honey pouring to get the right photo worthwhile! Please come back and visit my blog again.

  5. I also love the honey & spoon image. I have never been a fan of muesli and yoghurt for breakfast, but your post makes it so seductive. I was drawn to your point about breakfast being a luxury meal. In many ways, my post explores that idea. Love your photographs!

  17. Tea, then coffee and toast for me. My husband has taken to having cheese and tomato on toast for a late breakfast. When we have good cheese (it’s variable) I’ve taken to having some of that too.
