  1. Nice photo. We are actually considering buying one to use rather than the electric or gas powered mowers.

    1. Hello! Thank you for stopping to leave a comment. If you want a great free workout then a push mower is just the answer!

  2. I can smell the grass, and hear the rhythm of that lovely cranking thud across the lawn. What a photo does to a person . . .

    1. Like smells, photos can be quite evocative. I love the noise a push mower makes too

  4. When we lived in a townhouse with a small yard, we had one of these. I like them…and the sound of them…

    1. It’s a wonderful old fashioned noise. Conjures up, cream teas, cucumber sandwiches, blue skies, and a lawnmower in the background. 🙂

  6. I inherited one of these with my plot, but ended up giving it away and using the allotment’s petrol ones because I wanted to keep the cuttings for my compost.

Looking at that photo kind of makes me wish I hadn’t now!

    1. Hi Jono! I double up the exercise routine by then raking up all the grass for my compost. Waste not want not! 🙂

  7. Hi Laura! Yes, it is a great workout machine and in my opinion the grass always looks better after using it, than using an electric mower.

  8. Neat grass too I have one too (for occasional use!) and love the whirring sound as opposed to the electric/diesel noises. Good workout machine 😉
